1. Anderson Silva- After his domination of Okami I don't think anyone can deny this, he is simply the best.
2. Georges St.Pierre- Besides Silva he is most definitely the most dominant champion and may very well posses the right skill set to topple the number on fighter in the world. But we have to wait and see until the matchup is made and until then GSP is number 2 in almost everyones book.
3. Dominick Cruz- Bitch all you want but besides the two men above him he has the most title defenses of his belt in the UFC/WEC at four and they were in pretty dominant fashion. If you don't agree go check out fight metric and then we'll talk.
4. Jose Aldo- When and If he defends his belt against Kenny Florian then he will be tied with the Domin8r Cruz for 3rd place in title defenses currently, until then have fun in fourth place. Depending on his victory over Kenflo we'll see where he ranks after that because I wasn't very impressed with the Mark Hominick fight.
5. Jon Jones- With his first title defense under his belt and with a finish of a very well trained and prepared Rampage Jackson Jones takes the #5 slot beating out edgar whose last defense was a draw.
6.Frankie Edgar- Has defended his belt twice officially once with a well fought battle against future hall of famer BJ Penn and his second defense ended in a draw with Gray Maynard, we'll see if he gets replaced on this list in about 6 days.
7. Cain Velasquez- Is currently the only UFC champ to have not defended his belt but he is still a UFC champ and deserves a place on this list, like the champ above him we'll see if he really belongs on this list in about a month.
8. Dan Henderson- Hendo is the Strikeforce LHW champion and is coming over to fight Mauricio Shogun Rua in a title eliminator match in November. Coming off of three back to back KO wins one being a title fight and the other against the greatest heavyweight of all timeFedor Emelianenko he has definitely earned his spot on this list.
9. Hector Lombard- This absolute beast hasn't been defeated since 2006 (same goes for our number one P4P fighter). He is also the Bellator middleweight champion which is enough to get him on this list but not enough to put him in a top spot as he has hasn't competed against the elite competition in the UFC.
10. Gilbert Melendez- The lightweight Strikeforce champion has defended his belt 6 times which is very impressive and gets him the final spot in the top ten of the P4P list. He is currently in the process of coming over to the UFC to prove how good he really is and prove that he should be higher on this list. Only time will tell.
So to some if up Dominick Cruz gets the recognition he deserves and moves up one slot on the P4P list but still has a ways to go before taking GSP or Anderson's spots. Hector Lombard becomes the first Bellator champion to get recognized on this list but won't move much further until he is truly tested against real competition in the UFC.
